How to Create a Spreadsheet for a New Quarter

 

 

 

 

Step 1. Make the Spreadsheet

 

From the Setup menu, select Spreadsheets.  Click New.

 

Wave: Click here to create a new Spreadsheet

 

Oval: Choose this option. 

What type of spreadsheet would you like to create?  Select an option and then click NEXT.

 

Name your spreadsheet something easy: 2nd Quarter, 3rd Quarter, etc…

 
 

Give your spreadsheet a name. Click Next.

 

Choose the same type of grade calculation you used first quarter, to be consistent.

 
 

Do you want weighted type or total points?  Select one and click Create.

 

 

Your new spreadsheet will be listed here. You can click close now.

Step 2. Select the Spreadsheet

 

So that you see this new spreadsheet when you look at the class, you will need to use the drop-down Spreadsheet menu to select the new spreadsheet.  (Notice how the old Total Points spreadsheet is italicized? That’s because it is the “current spreadsheet.” You need to make the new spreadsheet the “current” one when you are ready for parents to see it. Step 3 tells you how.)

 

Step 3. Make this the Current Spreadsheet for InTouch

 

So that parents see this spreadsheet when they look at InTouch, you must make this the “current” spreadsheet for the class. Please do not do this until the new quarter begins.  Once you change this to make the new spreadsheet the “current” one, parents will no longer be able to see the assignments from the quarter that is ending.

 

From the Set-up Menu, click Classes.

 

From the dropdown “Current Grade Spreadsheet” menu, select the new spreadsheet. 

 

This is now the spreadsheet that will update InTouch.

 

Oval: THIS IS THE STEP THAT CHANGES WHAT PARENTS SEE FROM INTOUCH. It also makes this spreadsheet’s name  italicized when you look at the class in IntegradePro.

Click Close.            You are now ready to enter Tasks.
