Family and Consumer Science Department
The mission of Family and Consumer Education is to prepare students for family life, work life and careers in family and consumer sciences by providing opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors needed for becoming responsible citizens. Academic skills in math, communication and science are integrated in the classes. Leadership development, career exploration, and decision-making skills are integrated in every course.
FACS courses meet the "practical arts" portion of the graduation requirements.
