Le Club Français du Lycée de Leavenworth

(Leavenworth High School French Club)

Bonjour!

The French Club exists in order to promote interest in and understanding of the French language and culture, to enhance the interests of French language students, and to be of service to our school and our community.

There are regularly scheduled meetings after school. Meetings are Tuesdays from 2:25 to 3:00.

Motto

Vouloir, c’est pouvoir. (Where there’s a will, there’s a way.)

Membership

To join the French Club, a student must:

be in a French course, or
have at least one year of French in the last two years, or
have French experience.

Activities

Homecoming Parade Float ("Le Petit Café")
Halloween pumpkins presented to faculty and staff
Christmas movie and food
Christmas greeting cards to faculty and staff
Twister (en français, naturellement!)
French candy sales

Trip to France

A trip to Quebec in June 2005 is being planned for the French Club members. See Madame Hobelman for details.
