About Coach Larry Hogan:
Larry Hogan graduated from Kansas University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Health, and has since earned an additional 40 graduate hours. He teaches Physical Education and Health at Leavenworth High and is the Boys' Head Basketball coach. Coach Hogan holds the record at LHS with the most wins in Leavenworth Basketball history: 406 wins with seven State Tournament appearances and four State Final 4 appearances over the course of his coaching career. His basketball team in 2000 won the State Championship. His teams have won five Sunflower League Championships and he was selected Sunflower League Coach of the Year four times. In addition, Coach Hogan was selected Coach of the Year in 2000 for the state of Kansas Class 6A and Coach of the Year for all classes by the National Federation of High School Coaches.
Larry is married to Marsha Hogan, a former LHS teacher, who is currently a teacher and academic advisor for Kansas City Kansas Community College. Coach Hogan is the father of Deanna Elizabeth Hogan, a freshman at the University of Kansas and one of three National Merit Scholar Finalists for Leavenworth High School in 2006.
